Man, what a relief! I sent Willem Defoe that book, like, weeks ago. It's collection of short stories chronicling the adventures of Detective Wilhelm La Forge, a kindly vampire, and his sidekick, Pres, a streetwise puppy who's the reincarnation of Elvis, set in the mean streets of Memphis ca. 1980. I knew Willem would like it!
