Post Titled: That Harmonic Lull.
Overcast, went out and bought pineapple juice for lunch, thinking about the wierdness of everything... even the distracting and cartoonish wierdness of everone I saw out and about. Went to the library and got a few DVDs: "40 years of German video art", a Ludachris DVD of videos, concert footage and who knows what else or why I was attracted to it, and an obscure american movie from the 1950's that I had never heard of and may never watch.
Thanks library!
and now, some
ALAN GREENSPAN QUOTES:
I do not deny that many appear to have succeeded in a material way by cutting corners and by manipulating associates, both in their professional and in their personal lives. But material success is possible in this world and far more satisfying when it comes without exploiting others.
The Fact that our economical models at The Fed, the best in the world, have been wrong for fourteen straight quarters, does not mean they will not be right in the fifteenth quarter.
The true measure of a career is to be able to be content, even proud, that you succeeded through your own endeavors without leaving a trail of casualties in your wake.
To succeed, you will soon learn, as I did, the importance of a solid foundation in the basics of education - literacy, both verbal and numerical, and communication skills.
