Post Titled: Googleface? MyGoogleSpace? Googlebook?
Ripped outta TECHCRUNCH: "Yesterday a select group of fifteen or so industry luminaries attended a highly confidential meeting at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View to discuss the company’s upcoming plans to address the “Facebook issue.” ...Google’s goal - to fight Facebook by being even more open than the Facebook Platform. If Facebook is 98% open, Google wants to be 100%." FULL POST HERE

Admittedly, when Gmail came along, I dropped all my other puny email accounts for it... so, ... wait, does this already exist? Yes, it is called Orkut. I think I heard that in SOuth America Orkut, Google's social media networking platform, is essentially their MySpace/Facebook/Bebo, but maybe I am just imagining that. Telephone internat information shite.
OOh, wikipedia says: "Orkut is an Internet social network service run by Google and named after its creator, Google employee Orkut Büyükkökten"
