I Can't say exactly how realistic it is that they might've inflicted a lot of damage on the Frankfurt airport, but chances are they wouldn'tve been able to get onto Ramstein Air Base, that place has been particularly well-guarded since the 2001 and even before that since there was a major attack on the USAFE HQ in 1981. I know this because I went to Jr. High and High School there.
