Post Titled: Turkish politics at the door
Basically this protest (image below) occured across the street from us yesterday, pro and anti PKK activists (source of problems between Turkish Military and Kurds in Northern Iraq) and since of course, our neighborhood is basically Turkish, semi-violent protests errupted. We were at a friend's going away party at the time, but one of the guests who arrived had been at the protest- a bit unnerving... especially when one is used to their being a quiet German-Turkish tension, not a loud Turkish-Turkish one... gotta do some homework..
