As far as I can tell this is an Isetta, a popular post-WWII-vehicle built by BMW in germany. one can actually see the blue-white car logo. so... weird yes, but no east-german car. the goggomobil is another popular kleinwagen, or rather kleinstwagen of this era in a cute, stylish 50s design. trabbi isn't anything close to this design-wise, if it comes to comfort... that's another story.
