Fraked or Fracked...
emails from Barack and the McCain camp after the third debate: a review...

this post (originally just with the McCain email) was dull so i embedded some fracking Battlestar Galactica clips throughout...

Dear Supporter,
Actually, no, but : Yes, McCain-über-SPAM-meister?
Last night, you saw John McCain win the final debate of the general election.
No, I was sleeping, it was 3-4 am here, but I did hear him on the radio- and honestly I preferred hearing him to seeing him. SEEING the Old Man is like watching some David Cronenberg/Lynch X-Men sh*t, man- all the licking and blinking- is there anything you or he or electrolysis can do about that? On every issue, he proved he is ready to lead and ready to take this country in a new direction. Ain' dat da Lawd's onnest troof.

We know that John McCain is prepared to bring bold solutions to solve our nation's challenges. He'll fight for the "Joe the Plumbers," Marios and Luigis? "Joe the Florists" gay dudes?? He'll fight for gay dudes? That seems a bit our of character for the Maverick... and "Joe the Carpenters" of America of Nazareth? to reduce taxes and allow more men and women to realize the American Dream. John McCain is the only candidate who has consistently put our country's needs above his own. There should be a joke about his arms here. Now, it's up to us now to make sure he wins on Election Day. Yes, go on...

There's been a lot of talk in the media about the massive field operation Senator Obama has built with unlimited campaign funds. My sister gave him $30 and I gave him $25. We're guilty. Our campaign is ready to match his operation, but we need you on board to do it. Ok, Captain, but it won't do you no good.

As we enter the final weeks of the campaign, we're launching our major volunteer effort to elect John McCain and Sarah Palin. Ok. As a volunteer in your home state, you will be making a big difference in bringing the McCain-Palin ticket closer to victory. Ok.

Please follow this link to sign up for a volunteer shift. This email is boring. No matter what your schedule is, we have available shifts for each day leading up to November 4th. As a volunteer for our campaign, you will be provided with training, so no prior experience is needed. What can I say...

There is a lot at stake in this election. Come on- throw me a bone here- As a volunteer for McCain-Palin, you can make a big impact in closing the gap in the polls and electing John McCain and Sarah Palin as our next president and vice president. Please follow this link to get involved today. Thanks for your support.

Sincerely,
Christian Ferry
Deputy Campaign Manager

P.S. In addition to volunteering for our campaign, I'm asking you to visit the new website, www.RhetoricVsRecord.com. This site outlines the big differences between what Senator Obama says and what he does. Please take a few minutes to read through the site and pass it along to a few of your friends. Thank you.

Yes Barack?
I just finished the last debate before the election. I know, I saw, you played it pretty cool, man.
Now the outcome of this campaign is up to you. I need your help to get our message out -- and to get out the vote. Cool.
I wouldn't ask for your support if this campaign didn't urgently need it. Naturally.
Your donation of $5 or more today is essential to our unprecedented get out the vote operation in these final days. How's about a combined $55, that is 10 times more than you asked for- will you love us 10 times more?...The most dangerous thing you can do right now is nothing. Dude, I blog and -like I said- my sister and I donated to your campaign yesterday. Your support and hard work are exactly what we need between now and Election Day.
While he didn't mention the middle class, John McCain chose to repeat the false, negative attacks that make up 100% of his advertising these days. Harsh, bro.
The truth is that his choices say more about his campaign than they do about me. I can handle the truth.
But John McCain and his allies are not going to stop fighting -- or attacking -- until the very end. I think he mentioned as much in his email...
We're doing this a different way. Right, go on... Tonight I talked about the real problems ordinary people face during this economic crisis and concrete ways that I will create jobs, cut health care costs, build a new energy policy, and get our economy moving. Word.
But time is running out. 'Tis, ain't it, not like that Stones song... Our strength and our success in these last 20 days depends on you:

Well, that is flattering---
Thank you for all you do,
...all i do is all i gotta do, you know what I mean?
Barack
