The death of Dirk Bach.

At the time I came across Dirk Bach on German television (sometime in the mid-1990s) my German wasn't exactly good enough yet to understand the humor but I usually ended-up watching it anyhow just because this ridiculous human being was generally enjoyable to behold - his buggy eyes and giant baby body topped off with a meatball head constantly plastered with some sly or naïvely confused-looking expression somehow automatically made him seem like a creature of good intentions.

The other day Dirk Bach was found dead in his apartment here in Berlin - and all along my. commute route there are still posters of him in the upcoming Theaterstück he would've been in - der kleine könig mit Matthias Freihof - which kind of just makes it extra sad.
