Despite the fact that he blinks a lot and sounds like he's talking with a giant wooden clip on his nose, I think Edwards was really good for the Democrats. Otherwise, some issues wouldn't have been touched. Obama and Clinton used him to their advantage as a test balloon. Unfortunately, once again the progressive candidate is labeled as angry and carted off from the race.
Glad you liked the game theory thing. It apparently RUNS our lives. All the masters of the universe, according to my textbook, use it - economists, military strategists, politicians, etc. - and not just unconsciously, like "we all do game theory every day without knowing it," though the game theory people say this too. It's basically about strategic interaction. The one reservation I have about so far is that GT assumes we are aware of what we value and that we try to maximize our payoffs. I know so many people, myself included, for whom this does not seem to apply at all. But it's really really cool stuff....
